San Diego Planned Giving Partnership Incubator Program

The purpose of the San Diego Planned Giving Partnership Incubator Program is to provide resources and hands-on mentoring for local nonprofit organizations developing and implementing endowment programs and planned giving activities for their long-term financial stability.

The Grantmaking Report

This report presents numerical data about philanthropy in the San Diego region.  It was the result of a collaboration between San Diego Grantmakers and the University of San Diego’s Caster Family Center for Nonprofit Research. (2008)

 

Association of Fundraising Professionals, San Diego Chapter
The primary purpose of the AFPSD is to educate and advance the careers of those in the rapidly changing field of development. The Chapter promotes ethical standards, provides a network for members, lists local, regional and national employment opportunities and offers a pool for consultant services.

Nonprofit Management Solutions
Nonprofit Management Solutions provides management training, consulting, information and technology resources to nonprofits in San Diego, including customized training, board and staff development, strategic planning, networking, and meeting facilitation. The Resource Library is a cooperating collection of the Foundation Center.

SANDAN provides advocacy and networking for San Diego's nonprofit sector.
  Nonprofit Resource Center
The San Diego Foundation’s Nonprofit Resource Center (NRC) is an information hub (and satellite of the Foundation Center) offering research services, publications, and workshops. It is designed to help nonprofit organizations who seek to further their understanding of the world of philanthropy. The library collection covers subjects of interest to the nonprofit sector including management, governance, best practices, and fundraising.
  SCORE San Diego
SCORE San Diego is part of a national association which serves as a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).  SCORE is a volunteer, non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the success of small business.
 UCSD Extension UCSD Extension, Fundraising and Development Certificate
UCSD Extension offers many courses and a certificate program designed to expose students to a wide range of fundraising methods and tools, including planned giving, capital campaigns, grant writing, and corporate giving.

The State of Nonprofits Quarterly Index, conducted and published by the University of San Diego's Caster Family Center for Nonprofit and Philanthropic Research, charts the economic health of San Diego's nonprofit sector.

The Center's Nonprofit Best Practice Library consists of exemplary projects completed by graduate students enrolled in the University of San Diego’s Nonprofit Leadership and Management program for, and in collaboration with, nonprofit organizations. The library reflects students' work developing policy, planning, research, and fundraising documents for nonprofit organizations and programs.
