| Overview: |
Association of Small Foundations (ASF) will be offering two day-long seminars in February, which will run concurrently. 990-PF Tax Seminar
Taught by top lawyers and accountants, this seminar is a must-attend for anyone who prepares or signs your private foundation's annual tax form. The interactive, line-by-line approach allows you to "grade" your form as you go and come away with a better understanding of the 5% payout, expenditure responsibility, how to keep your trustees out of trouble, and how to save your foundation money.
Ideal for:
- Foundation officers who review and sign the Form 990-PF, including CEOs
- Foundation trustees wanting to better understand their foundation’s Form 990-PF
- Professional advisors providing tax-related services, including CPAs and attorneys
Bulls vs. Bears: Managing Your Investments for Long-Term Gain
Does your portfolio have the correct balance of risk and return to meet your spending policy? How do you know if your managers and advisors are performing well? What do foundation asset allocations look like after 2008? This seminar will address these questions and more through interactive, skill-enhancing sessions. Leave the seminar with information and knowledge that you can use right away in the management of your investment portfolio to help you maximize returns in the long run – whether in a bear market or a bull market.
Ideal for:
- Foundation trustees serving on a foundation investment committee
- Foundation staff involved in the oversight of investment assets and investment advisors
- Professional advisors providing investment-related services, including CPAs and attorneys wearing two hats – that of a foundation trustee and that of an independent CPA or attorney.
