The Social Equity Funders (SEF) is a San Diego Grantmakers-facilitated collaboration with the goal to contribute to the improved economic, social, and physical well being of San Diego County residents. Their work is rooted in the belief that our region's long-term prosperity depends largely upon the ability of all San Diegans to have equitable opportunities to improve their quality of life.

Social Equity Collaborative Fund

The Social Equity Collaborative Fund (SECF) is a pooled grantmaking fund that supports collaborative efforts to improve the economic, social, and physical well being of San Diego County residents. Grants from the Fund will be awarded to organizations and projects that increase the connectivity of equity work in San Diego County, such as access to education, public benefits, and civic leadership opportunities; career development; criminal justice reform; workplace rights; and adequate infrastructure, transportation, and housing options. Read More >

Leadership Development Project

The Leadership Development Project (LDP) launched in 2015 with support from the Social Equity Funders. It is a collaboration of local nonprofit and advocacy organizations to connect leadership development efforts and create a countywide network focused on empowering leaders in under-represented communities who can advance social justice policy agendas and achieve positions of influence. Read More >
