Economic Opportunity Funders hosts an Annual Budget and Tax Briefing to provide funders with a unique opportunity to learn about and discuss why budget and tax policy matters to national, state and local philanthropy. They are webcasting their anchor plenary session on the federal and state budget and tax outlook for funders unable to travel to Washington, DC.

President Trump's newly released FY2021 budget proposes $4.4 trillion in spending cuts over the next decade, including deep cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP, housing, education, disability, environment and public health programs. Join us on March 5 to learn about key provisions in the federal budget, anticipated battles and opportunities at the federal and state level, and potential impacts on struggling families, workers and communities. Speakers include:

  • Jean Ross, Senior Program Officer, Bernard and Anne Spitzer Charitable Trust (moderator)
  • Sharon Parrott, Senior Vice President for Federal Policy and Program Development, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities
  • Erica Williams, Senior Director of State Policy Initiatives, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities
