Can we Prevent Homelessness?

Learn how 2-1-1 San Diego is using data to identify when a person is at greatest risk to become homeless and how we can use flexible, targeted funding to prevent it.

The Homeless Service Provider community have come together in response to the one-time state Homeless Emergency Aid Program (HEAP) funding offered by the Regional Task Force on the Homeless. Camey Christenson, Senior Vice President at 2-1-1 San Diego and Paul Armstrong, Social Service Director, Salvation Army will provide an overview of this unique collaborative unfolding across all of San Diego County. The collaborative leverages San Diego’s community care planning tool – the Community Information Exchange allowing for unprecedented seamless client screening, referrals and resource tracking and also provides an opportunity for region wide data collection, reporting, and evaluation.
