Join your fellow philanthropists, foundation staff and trustees, corporate funders, impact investors, and giving circle members for an energizing day that is sure to fuel conversation and help strengthen effective philanthropy in our region at our 2018 Annual Conference!

San Diego Grantmakers is committed to educating and equipping our members and conference attendees with the framework and resources needed to advance social equity and support collaboration among stakeholders. 

This year's theme, "Frameworks for Good", will address issues of equity, impact investing, cross-sector collaboration, and new forms of giving. Topics will include tools for advancing social equity, trust-based grantmaking, future trends in philanthropy, and leveraging impact investment strategies to propel social impact. The conference will have a mix of plenaries and breakout sessions, with plenty of time to network and socialize!

This interactive three-hour impact investment workshop for investment professionals, advisors, and decision makers who have intermediate to advanced exposure to the field will be led by Dana Bezerra, President of the Heron Foundation. Dana will share insights and key considerations for impact investors. Workshop attendees will have ample time to ask questions about the implementation of impact investment strategies relating to fiduciary duties, investment policy statements (IPS), portfolio construction, and performance analysis, and performance measurement. Lunch included.

*This workshop provides continuing education credits for certified financial planner, certified trust and financial advisor, and certified retirement services professional:

  • 3.5 hours of CFP (Certified Financial Planner)
  • 3.75 hours of CRSP (Certified Retirement Services Professional)
  • 3.75 hours of CTFA (Certified Trust and Financial Advisor)
