Jacob Harold is no stranger to leading movements. He is renowned as a social change strategist, grantmaker, and author. As CEO of GuideStar, a leading nonprofit information clearinghouse, Jacob has paved the way for several social sector movements, including The Overhead Myth campaign to bring attention to the critical need for funding nonprofit overhead.

With a background as philanthropy guru, Jacob led the Philanthropy Program at the Hewlett Foundation, overseeing $30 million in grants aimed at building a 21st Century infrastructure for smart giving. Jacob also mastered the art of strategizing on the ground as an organizer for Rainforest Action Network, Greenpeace USA, and Citizen Works, and also for the Bridgespan Group as a management consultant.

Please join us to hear from Jacob about his vision for a more transparent and effective social sector. Some of this work is already underway, and there is still much to be done.
