SDG invites you to this program by our partners at Smart Growth California, an Initiative of The Funders Network.

In this session, we’ll hear from funders and nonprofit leaders who have cultivated trust-based relationships, the lessons they’ve learned along the way, and the learnings that have allowed them to deepen their collective impact. We’ll begin with an overview of the core tenets of a trust-based approach, followed by story-sharing from two funder-grantee collaborations that have worked toward advancing racial equity and livable communities.

Panelists will share insights from their personal experiences and more than two decades of experience, including “hands on” vs “hands off” approaches, addressing the feedback loop and evaluation process, challenges for “strategic philanthropy,” and how this work is evolving and changing in light of Covid-19.

This event is co-hosted by Smart Growth California, Environmental Grantmakers Association and Trust-Based Philanthropy.
