The challenges seem ominous: millions of acres of farmland being lost; greenhouse gases changing our climate; restaurants shuttering at record speed, sending millions into unemployment; hunger and racial injustices exacerbated by a pandemic. Yet, there has never been a more prime opportunity to address them than this very moment—we must act together, swiftly, to transform our food system.

San Diego Food System Alliance is developing a vision for a healthier, more sustainable, and more just food system in our region—and a plan to get us all there. Their bold 10-year plan, San Diego County Food Vision 2030, is well underway after over a year of research, hundreds of hours of expert interviews, and a sweeping community engagement process uplifting the voices of those most affected by current inequities in our food system. Join us to learn more about the issues opportunities in our food system, hear from leaders in the community, and join us in this important conversation.

The program is open to funders (including members and non-members of SDG).
