Census 101 Webinar | Saving the 2020 Census: Why You Should Care and What Can Be Done

With so much going on, and even as many of our communities are under attack by the current Administration, there is a critical need to focus awareness and to take action on another looming threat that implicates all of the civil and human rights issues and public programs that we care about – the 2020 Census. Decisions are being made now that will determine the success or failure of the 2020 Census to conduct a fair and accurate count, particularly among the many hard to reach populations that are especially vulnerable to being undercounted. Congress is set to severely underfund the US Census Bureau’s effort to secure a fair and accurate count, as well as make other decisions that could undermine the decennial - unless we stop them!

In particular, we want to invite advocates, allies, and community groups around the country who are not yet thinking about the importance of a successful 2020 Census to join our Get Out The Count planning and campaign efforts. So JOIN US! The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights invites interested groups and census newbies to join us for a Census 101 Webinar: Saving the 2020 Census: Why You Should Care and What Can Be Done on Tuesday, January 16, 2018
