Funders Together to End Homelessness hosted an event, Housing is the Solution to Homelessness on May 18, 2018 at Atmosphere by Wakeland Housing & Development Corp. 

Permanent housing provides stability for the most vulnerable members of our community. This seems like an obvious concept, yet, in this era of skyrocketing rents and housing costs, securing permanent housing is a challenge.

How much permanent housing do we need? Who’s building it? What will it cost? What is the difference between affordable housing and supportive housing?

These are all important questions which need to be asked and ultimately advocated for. Experts in supportive housing, affordable housing, and direct services joined the discussion to answer these and other questions about how we use housing to solve homelessness.
